Registration involves submitting a filled-out registration form (CBGA2026_Form_A). Submitting an abstract entails the responsibility of the author to present that work at the meeting, either as an oral presentation or as a poster. The Abstracts without registration of at least one of the authors will not be accepted. By submitting an abstract, the authors accept the publication in the abstract volume of the CBGA 2026 Conference Abstract volume. Submitting the identical abstract to multiple sessions is prohibited. The content of the submitted abstracts is the responsibility of their authors. CBGA reserves the right to reject abstracts that are not written in English, do not meet basic standards of scientific quality, or do not adhere to conventional standards of civil discourse and common decency.
Each registered participant can submit no more than two abstracts, as only one of them can be indicated for oral presentation. In the case that one abstract is invited by a convener as an oral presentation, the second abstract will be allowed for oral presentation. Note that in a session can be only one solicited abstract per five oral presentations.
Extended versions (full-length paper or short communication) of the submitted abstracts can be published in the Congress Special Issues of the CBGA journals after regular peer review. The manuscripts must be submitted directly to the CBGA journals Geologica Carpathica or Geologica Balcanica. Please note that the abstracts of the submitted full-text papers, accompanied by a completed registration form (CBGA2026_Form_A), must also be sent to cbga2026@gmail.com. The deadline for submitting a full-length paper or short communication for the Pre-Congress Special Issues has been extended to 15 May 2026.
Several geological Field Trips and Workshops are available for the congress participants. They are optional and require a specific registration.
